Here's the deal:

I'm looking to put together an entire week's worth of reader submissions.  I'm not really looking for essays or reviews or anything like that, more along the lines of the daily updates.  Whatever lines those are.

A story about a temp job you had, temps you've worked with, or anything vaguely work related, if possible.

Nothing too long and rambling, or too short and um... non-rambling.

Humor is the goal, but something insightful, clever, or extremely pornographic is fine.  Wait, no.  No porn.  Well.  You can send porn, but I probably won't post it.  I will read it, though.

Are you an artist?  Cartoonist?  I'll post pictures or cartoons if that's what you've got.

Please note:

You will get full credit.

You will retain all rights.

I won't change a word without checking with you first.

I will let you know whether or not I will use your submission, and when it will appear.

If at a later date, you decide you don't want your submission to appear on this website, I will remove it at a fairly low cost.

Send it via e-mail.  Avoid attachments if possible (I know artwork needs to be an attachment, but for written bits, please try to just include them in the body of the e-mail).

I will post your e-mail address (if you like), your name (if you like), put up a link to your website or your friend's website or whatever website you like (if you like), or plug your store or disco or leather garment factory or whatever it is you'd like to get a little mention.

The whole end result of this thing, what I really am aiming for, is to get people to regularly submit temp-stuff to this site.  I'm looking for correspondents.  Temps in the field.  People out there who will tell me what temping is to them.  What cities they work in, which agencies they work for, and how they like them.

If this sounds like something you'd like to try, send me some e-mail at write@notmydesk.com.

If you know someone who might like to try, send them here.  I'll be grateful.

Thank you, and good day.
